سلام. دوستان در این جمله گویا از اصطلاحی استفاده شده که متاسفانه نتونستم ترجمش کنم. خیلی ممنون بابت راهنماییتون.   I no longer had ten feet from floor to ceiling and the excuse of turn-of-the-century features to fall back on. 

آیا علم و آگاهی و معرفتی بدون کلمات و کلام وجود دارد ؟ آیا همه معرفت ما با کلمات منتقل میشود ؟ و هیچ گونه معرفتی بدون کلام ما کسب نکرده ایم ؟ اگر پدیده و رویدادی با کلمات وصف نشود ، ناشناخته خواهد ماند ؟ حال آنکه خیلی از آگاهی های ما احساسی ست نه منطقی ، چگونه به جواب این پرسش خواهیم رسید که معرفت خاموش هم وجود دا رد ؟ یعنی تفکر بدون کلمات
