Present perfect continues

Hi. The line  usually drawn between action  vs. state verbs is more of a thinking tool rather than a  perfect  reflection of real language usage.  Lots of "state" verbs(depending on the sense they are being used in) can be used in continuous form. 

That being said, here are a couple of examples so that you can decide for yourself.

He has been helping  with  the  project all morning.

They have been educating  him on good manners and proper etiquette these past weeks.
