Boundary conditions. In confined seepage, either the total head or the total flow is prescribed on the boundaries. For prescribed flow boundaries, we consider only impervious boundaries and exclude prescribed flux boundaries. For an impervious boundary, the seepage velocity is tangential to the boundary
