انتخابات پارلمانی صربستان

در بحث میان حزبی پارلمان اروپا که قبل از انتخابات جریان داشت، تغییرات اساسی در انتخابات مجلس قانونگذاری صورت گرفت. به همین منظور برخی از احزاب سیاسی و نمایندگان داخل مجلس و افراد با طرح اینکه هیچ فضایی برای برگزاری انتخابات آزاد و عادلانه وجود دارت انتخابات را تحریم کردند. این موضوع باعث افت شدید مشارکت در انتخابات به نسبت ۱۹۹۰. در این رابطه حزب مترقی صربستان رهبری یک ائتلاف را به دست گرفت و موفق به جذب اکثریت اجتماع کنگره اروپا شدند.
سازمان امنیت و همکاری اروپا گزارش کرد بسیاری از توصیه های قبلی این سازمان ODIHR اجرا نشده و همزمان به نبودن آزادی در رسانه ها انتقاد کرد.
