Evaluation of Pap - stained slides shows some bland looking follicular cells besides some follicular cells with focal nuclear enlargement and overlapping ( focal cytologic atypia ) with some colloid material in a bloody background.

DX: Right thyroid lobe nodule. , Fine Needle Aspiration:
The specimen contains some follicular cells with atypia of undetermined significance,
which are not enough for ruling in or out a neoplastic process and can be seen in
benign/reactive lesions also ( Bethesda category III ) .
Correlation with clinical/imaging findings, following up the patient with periodic
clinical/imaging exams, and performing a repeat FNA after an appropriate time of
observation ( if needed ) is kindly recommended.
