nic?phore soglo became president of benin in 1991. he was a governor of the international monetary fund in 1964 and a world bank executive from 1979 to 1986. he served as minister of economy and planning from 1966 to 1967. he was prime minister from 1990 to 1991. in 1993 he joined the benin renaissance party (prb). born: 1934.
