Comes straight from Vygotsky’s ideas about the Zone of Proximal Development ( ZPD ) .
The goal is independence, not dependence.
How It Works:
Model the task — Show them how it’s done.
Guide together — Work with them step - by - step.
Let them try — Stay close for backup.
Pull back — Remove the “scaffold” when they’re steady.
Example:
A kid can’t write a paragraph alone.
You start by giving sentence starters.
Then you just give a topic.
Eventually, they write solo.
That fading help = scaffolding.
نظریه داربست یعنی کمک موقتی به یادگیرنده برای انجام کاری که به تنهایی نمی تواند، و بعد به تدریج حذف این کمک تا مستقل شود.
