آمیزواج: ترکیب یک قسمت از هر دو کلمه برای ساخت کلمه ای جدی. گاهی این ترکیبات بین المللی هستند و بعنوان یک کلمه رسمی شناخته می شوند. این کلمات جدید آمیزواج یا واژه های دورگه ( Portmanteaus ) نام دارند و در زبان انگلیسی تقریبا رایج هستند.
مثل کلمه ای که تقریبا هممون میشناسیم "podcast" که از ترکیب pod از لغت iPod و cast از لغت broadcast بوجود اومده.
