moon cracked

The Holy Quran is precise in its descriptions:
شق
Shaq means cracked؛, and Not ( انفطر القمر )
as in
"اذا السماء انفطرت"
Not
( انفلق القمر )
as in
"فانفلق فکان کلّ فرق کالطود العظیم"
