Majid Amraei ( born on January 1, 1348 ) , is a drama therapist, theater director, journalist and professor at Allameh Tabatabai University. In 1376, he received a bachelor's degree in theater majoring in playwriting from Arak Azad University. After that, he received his master's degree in directing from Tehran Faculty of Art and Architecture in 1380. Emrai also has a doctorate in drama therapy from the International Institute of Art Therapy in Paris, France. Currently, he is also active in the field and specialty of drama therapy. ... Among his major activities, we can mention the practical experience of twenty years of drama therapy work with different groups such as war casualties, correctional centers and educational centers. Also, he has worked as a drama therapist in Saadat Abad Psychiatric Hospital with drama therapy war victims and is the author of the first authored book in the field of drama therapy entitled Drama Therapy on the Path of Evolution in Iran in 2009. Amrai has other works in this field. Since 2017, he has been a founding member of the WADTh International Association of Dramatherapy and is also the Secretary General of the International Dramatherapy Association of Iran, DTCI.
