Locus of control is a psychological concept that refers to an individual's belief about the degree of control they have over the events in their life. It’s often divided into two types:1 - Internal Locus of Control: People with an internal locus believe they have control over the outcomes of their actions. They attribute their successes and failures to their own efforts, decisions, and abilities. For example, a person with an internal locus might think, “I failed the test because I didn’t study enough. ”

2 - External Locus of Control: People with an external locus believe that external forces, such as fate, luck, or other people, control the events in their lives. They might attribute outcomes to chance or powerful others rather than their actions. For example, they might say, “I failed the test because the questions were unfair. ”
