A psychological phenomenon where low expectations lead to worse performance.
When teachers, leaders, or supervisors expect someone to fail, that belief subtly affects their behavior ( less support, colder tone, fewer opportunities ) , and the person’s performance drops — fulfilling the negative expectation.
