Germ band اصطلاحی است که در جنین شناسی برای توصیف ضخیم شدن بلاستودرم تخم حشره ای که جنین از آن خارج می شود استفاده می شود. نوار جوانه جایی است که بدن جنین رشد می کند و شامل اولین بخش هایی است که در جنین ( و بالغ ) تشکیل می شود.
