DNR
DNR stands for “Do Not Resuscitate”. It is a medical order that instructs healthcare providers not to perform
cardiopulmonary resuscitation ( CPR ) if a patient’s heart stops beating or they stop breathing. DNR orders are often used for patients who are terminally ill, elderly, or have a poor prognosis. The decision to issue a DNR order is made by the patient or their family in consultation with their doctor.

DNR مخفف "Do Not Rescitate" است. این یک دستور پزشکی است که به ارائه دهندگان مراقبت های بهداشتی دستور می دهد در صورت توقف ضربان قلب یا توقف تنفس، احیای قلبی ریوی ( CPR ) را انجام ندهند. دستورات DNR اغلب برای بیمارانی که بیمار لاعلاج، مسن یا دارای پیش آگهی ضعیف هستند استفاده می شود. تصمیم برای صدور دستور DNR توسط بیمار یا خانواده وی با مشورت پزشک انجام می شود.
Naturally we already had power of attorney sorted, and a DNR ( do not resuscitate ) form, meaning that should his heart stop beating, or if he stopped breathing, it had been formally requested that no medical intervention would be given to him by healthcare professionals to try to keep him alive.
